Wholesale nic shots for UK vape shops
A nic shot is a 10ml bottle of nicotine e-liquid that is added to a nicotine-free shortfill, so the customer can choose how much nicotine ends up in the finished bottle. This collection holds nic shots from four brands, sold as trade boxes, so you can keep shots next to your shortfills and sell the two together.

How much nicotine does a shot add?
The strength on the bottle is the strength of the shot, and it is diluted by the shortfill. Shortfill bottles are made with room for a set number of shots, so check the bottle for how many it takes and match the number of shots to the amount of e-liquid in the bottle.
Makes 60ml of 3mg e-liquid.
Makes 60ml of about 2.5mg e-liquid.
Choosing strength and base
The UK limit for nicotine e-liquid is 20mg/ml, so 20mg is the top strength available, and the 15mg and 18mg freebase shots cover most customers. The base is shown as the VG number in the product name. As a rule, match the shot's base to the shortfill, so a 70VG shot suits a 70VG shortfill, and 100VG shots suit customers who want the highest VG. Ice shots add a cooling note to the mix.
Stock shots alongside the shortfills
Every shortfill sale is a nic shot sale, so keep shots near the shortfills they go with. Browse the shortfill ranges to see what you are pairing them with: 50ml, 100ml and 200ml e-liquids. A small spread of strengths in the base ratios your shortfills use is usually enough to start with, and the larger boxes suit shops with steady shortfill sales. For the full range, see our wholesale e-liquids.
Vaping Products Duty and duty stamps
From 1 October 2026, vaping liquid is charged Vaping Products Duty at £2.20 per 10ml, paid by manufacturers and importers, so each 10ml nic shot carries one unit of duty on new stock. New stock made or imported from that date carries a duty stamp, existing unstamped stock can be sold until 31 March 2027, and from 1 April 2027 all vaping products sold must be stamped. Keep invoices and delivery notes for any pre-duty stock you hold.
What to check before you list a nic shot
- Nic shots are 10ml bottles, and nicotine strength is capped at 20mg/ml.
- Containers should be child-resistant and tamper-evident, and products should be notified to the MHRA.
- Sales are restricted to adults aged 18 and over, and supplier documentation should be kept on file.

Frequently asked questions
What is a nic shot?
A nic shot is a 10ml bottle of nicotine e-liquid that is added to a nicotine-free shortfill to bring it up to the strength the customer wants. Shortfill bottles are made with space for one or more shots. Our range includes 15mg and 18mg freebase shots and 20mg nicotine salt shots.
How much nicotine will a nic shot add?
It depends on the shot and the size of the shortfill. One 18mg shot added to a 50ml shortfill makes 60ml of 3mg e-liquid, while one 15mg shot makes about 2.5mg. Check how many shots the bottle takes, and match the shots to the amount of e-liquid inside it.
What do 50VG, 70VG and 100VG mean on a nic shot?
The number is the VG content of the shot's base. As a rule, choose a shot with the same base as the shortfill, so a 70VG shot suits a 70VG shortfill. A 100VG shot has the highest VG content. Check the shortfill's own ratio on its product page before pairing it with a shot.
Are nic shots legal to sell in the UK?
Yes, to adults aged 18 and over, provided they meet UK TPD rules. Nic shots are sold in 10ml bottles, nicotine strength is limited to 20mg/ml, containers must be child-resistant and tamper-evident, and products should be notified to the MHRA. Keep supplier documentation on file for every product you list.
Does Vaping Products Duty apply to nic shots?
Yes. From 1 October 2026 the duty is £2.20 per 10ml of vaping liquid, paid by manufacturers and importers, so each 10ml shot carries one unit. New stock carries a duty stamp, and unstamped stock made or imported before that date can be sold until 31 March 2027. Ask our trade team about stock status.
