Wholesale 50ml shortfills for UK vape shops
A 50ml shortfill is a nicotine-free e-liquid in a bottle that has room left for a nic shot. It is the entry size of the shortfill range and a good fit for customers who want a larger bottle than 10ml without buying a lot of liquid at once. This collection brings together 50ml shortfills from the brands UK customers ask for by name, so you can stock the format from one supplier.

How 50ml shortfills and nic shots work
Shortfills are sold nicotine-free because UK rules limit bottles of nicotine e-liquid to 10ml. Customers who want nicotine add a separate nic shot to the bottle. Check the bottle for how much space is left, and keep nic shots next to your 50ml shortfills so the two sell together. See our nic shots.
Makes 60ml of 3mg e-liquid.
Makes 60ml of about 2.5mg e-liquid.
VG ratios and the devices they suit
Many shortfills are high-VG, with 70VG and 30PG common, but ratios vary by brand, and some are made for different devices, so check each product page. High-VG liquids generally suit sub-ohm tanks, so they pair with sub-ohm vape kits and tanks, and some ranges offer pod-friendly versions, so follow the device's own guidance.
Choosing a range for your shop
A handful of well-known brands in your best-selling flavour families will cover most requests. Start with the lines your customers already ask for, such as fruit, ice and tobacco, and widen the range as reorders show what moves. For bigger bottles, see our 100ml e-liquids and the full wholesale e-liquids range.
Vaping Products Duty and duty stamps
From 1 October 2026, vaping liquid is charged Vaping Products Duty at £2.20 per 10ml, whether or not it contains nicotine, and it is paid by manufacturers and importers. A 50ml shortfill is charged on 50ml of liquid, so it carries £11 of duty on new stock. New stock carries a duty stamp, existing unstamped stock can be sold until 31 March 2027, and from 1 April 2027 all vaping products sold must be stamped. Keep invoices and delivery notes for any pre-duty stock you hold.
What to check before you list a shortfill
- Shortfills must be nicotine-free, with space left for a nic shot.
- Containers should be child-resistant and tamper-evident, and products should be notified to the MHRA.
- Sales are restricted to adults aged 18 and over, and supplier documentation should be kept on file.

Frequently asked questions
What is a 50ml shortfill?
A 50ml shortfill is a nicotine-free e-liquid in a bottle with room left for a nic shot. UK rules limit nicotine e-liquid to 10ml bottles, so larger bottles are sold at 0mg. Customers who want nicotine add a separate 10ml nic shot to the bottle and shake it well.
How much nicotine will a nic shot add to a 50ml shortfill?
One 18mg nic shot added to a 50ml shortfill makes 60ml of 3mg e-liquid, and one 15mg shot makes about 2.5mg. Check how much space the bottle has left, and match the number of shots to the amount of e-liquid inside it. Keep shots next to your shortfills.
What VG ratio do 50ml shortfills use?
Many are high-VG, with 70VG and 30PG common, but ratios vary by brand and some ranges offer other blends, so check each product page. High-VG liquids generally suit sub-ohm tanks. For pod devices, follow the device's own guidance, because some shortfills are made as pod-friendly versions.
Does Vaping Products Duty apply to 50ml shortfills?
Yes. From 1 October 2026 the duty is £2.20 per 10ml of vaping liquid, whether or not it contains nicotine, so a 50ml bottle carries £11 on new stock. It is paid by manufacturers and importers. Unstamped stock made or imported before that date can be sold until 31 March 2027.
Are 50ml shortfills legal to sell in the UK?
Yes, to adults aged 18 and over, provided they are nicotine-free and meet UK TPD rules. Containers must be child-resistant and tamper-evident, and products should be notified to the MHRA. Keep supplier documentation on file for each product you list, and keep age checks in place on every sale.
