Wholesale 500ml shortfills for UK vape shops
A 500ml shortfill is a nicotine-free e-liquid in the largest bottle size in our range. It suits customers who buy in volume and prefer one large bottle to several small ones. This collection brings together 500ml shortfills from Kingston and Frankenstein, so you can offer the format from one supplier alongside your smaller shortfill ranges.
500ml shortfill brands in the range
The Soda, Zingberry, Gazillions, Sweets, Menthol and Chill lines in 500ml bottles, such as Kingston Soda and Kingston Menthol.
The Frankenstein 500ml shortfill.
How 500ml shortfills and nic shots work
Shortfills are sold nicotine-free because UK rules limit bottles of nicotine e-liquid to 10ml. Customers who want nicotine need to add separate 10ml nic shots, and a 500ml bottle may not have room for them. Check the label to see how much space is left.
If a bottle is full, customers can pour the e-liquid into a larger container or into smaller bottles before adding shots. Keep nic shots near your shortfills, and see our nic shots.
VG ratios and the devices they suit
Many shortfills are high-VG, with 70VG and 30PG common, and they generally suit sub-ohm tanks and sub-ohm vape kits. Ratios vary by brand, so check each product page and follow the device's own guidance.
Choosing a range for your shop
500ml bottles are a specialist size, so start with one or two of the flavour families your customers already buy and see how they move before widening the range. Because the bottles are large and hold a lot of liquid, check the closure, the expiry date and the storage guidance on the label before you stock them, and keep them somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight. Keep them near your other large formats, such as the 100ml e-liquids and 200ml e-liquids, and see our wholesale e-liquids for the full range.
Vaping Products Duty and duty stamps
From 1 October 2026, vaping liquid is charged Vaping Products Duty at £2.20 per 10ml, whether or not it contains nicotine, and it is paid by manufacturers and importers. A 500ml shortfill is charged on 500ml of liquid, so it carries £110 of duty on new stock. New stock carries a duty stamp, existing unstamped stock can be sold until 31 March 2027, and from 1 April 2027 all vaping products sold must be stamped. Keep invoices and delivery notes for any pre-duty stock you hold.
What to check before you list a shortfill
- Shortfills must be nicotine-free, with a note on whether the bottle has space for nic shots.
- Containers should be child-resistant and tamper-evident, and products should be notified to the MHRA.
- Sales are restricted to adults aged 18 and over, and supplier documentation should be kept on file.

Frequently asked questions
What is a 500ml shortfill?
A 500ml shortfill is a nicotine-free e-liquid in the largest bottle size in our range. UK rules limit nicotine e-liquid to 10ml bottles, so larger bottles are sold at 0mg. Customers who want nicotine need to add separate 10ml nic shots, so check whether the bottle has room.
Can I add nic shots to a 500ml bottle?
It depends on the bottle, so check the label. A bottle that is supplied full has no room for shots, and customers can pour the e-liquid into a larger container or smaller bottles first. Match the number of shots to the amount of e-liquid, and keep shots next to your shortfills.
What VG ratio do 500ml shortfills use?
Many are high-VG, with 70VG and 30PG common, and they generally suit sub-ohm tanks. Ratios vary by brand, so check each product page and follow the device's own guidance before recommending a bottle to a customer, and ask our trade team if the ratio is not shown.
Does Vaping Products Duty apply to 500ml shortfills?
Yes. From 1 October 2026 the duty is £2.20 per 10ml of vaping liquid, whether or not it contains nicotine, so a 500ml bottle carries £110 on new stock. It is paid by manufacturers and importers. Unstamped stock made or imported before that date can be sold until 31 March 2027.
Are 500ml shortfills legal to sell in the UK?
Yes, to adults aged 18 and over, provided they are nicotine-free and meet UK TPD rules. Containers should be child-resistant and tamper-evident, and products should be notified to the MHRA. Keep supplier documentation on file for each product you list, and keep age checks in place on every sale.
Do you offer trade pricing and next-day delivery on 500ml shortfills?
Trade prices are shown after you log in. Orders over £200 placed before 3pm ship free for next-day delivery, with BT postcodes excluded. For larger orders, or a quote covering several shops, contact our trade team and we will put one together.
